August cruise? Hi! My husband and I want to plan a last minute cruise to somewhere in the Carribean for our 1 year anniversary in early to mid August. My only concern is the weather. Has anyone ever used a birth certificate and ID instead of a passport on a cruise? We booked a last minute cruise and I couldn't get a passport in time even if we expedited it. The travel agent said until January of 2008 I can travel in Mexico and Honduras (where the cruise is going) with my birth certificate and ID... but she said it would take longer. HAs anyone ever done this? Both the cruise line and the travel agent confirmed that this is legal but it takes longer, I was just wondering if anyone has done it and if it infact DOES take longer...
Inviting fiance's sort-of best friend???? My fiance and I have been together for 7 yrs. We have hung out with his bf from elementary school for years. Approx. 3 years ago he got a new girlfriend whom everyone hates. Since she started coming around he has lost almost all his friends. We have tried to be her friend but it proved impossible. Hello, have a question regarding carnival cruises, did I pay too much? Okay, I had a last minute cruise decision with a friend of mine and I that we wanted to attend. We signed up for Carnival. We booked within 6 days before the cruise (we are leaving this Sunday, May 25). They said they were almost sold out and had 1 room left. So we decided to take it. So they charged us a total of 1800, total for 2 people (900 each of us) without medical insurance. So we got the small room with no window, but its on the upper deck area, not at the bottom area. All ammenties (food, drinks (non alcholic), activities are included) My question for a last minute deal, within 6 days of traveling this reservation, is this a fair deal? (including this last minute)
