I am looking for a good summer adventure camp that is in another country (I live in the USA)? I'm turning 15 in a few months and the coming summer I would like to participate in a type of summer program where you get to travel overseas, experience another culture(s), and possibly help out doing service. I am not particularly interested in a religious type camp though. I have been looking for something that seems to fit me and haven't been lucky so far. As price goes, of course I'm looking for something in the middle or lower price range, but will be happy with any suggestions given. Thanks for any help.
Do you ever feel like you are missing something in your life? I guess because I’m 17, I’m naturally restless and naive but I just feel like my life is Missing something. I don't know what it is but it bugs me everyday. I just want to get away and go looking for it, whatever it may be. I just can't seem to be happy staying in one place with no adventure. Thus I want to travel overseas in search of an answer. I don't really follow a religion (due to my family upbringing). Maybe God or somebody else is what i'm missing. I'm also single. I'm not looking right now because i'm more interested in long term relationships rather than flings and i feel that at my age i'm too immature to really know the kind of person that would suit me. However perhaps that is what im missing. Who knows. These are just 2 guesses, the list of things is endless but all i know is i don't feel complete, like i have to go out there and fill that hole in my life. Does anybody feel the same way? Even if you are married, have faith AND feel happy at home?
I am trying to decide where to go overseas? I want somewhere dirt cheap to travel in. Markets, hot weather, the sea perhaps, good food. I have been to India and thailand and Indonesia. I don't want to go to same place twice. Any suggestions... I am strapped for cash but need a wild adventure.
I think its time to take a gap semester, or year. Any advice? I like going to school, and I don't want to quit. However, I'm bored with school/college. I want to continue learning, but I also want to have an adventure and do something different. Two things to take into consideration are that I am extremely limited financially and I am unwilling to travel more than 120 miles from my home in Ft. Worth, TX, unless the travel period is less than two weeks. Even so, I am uneasy about traveling overseas.
digital camera question. Which is the best for me? I like taking lots of candid family photos, plus i travel overseas a lot, and like taking pictures i can bring home to show friends and family of my adventures. I'm so clueless on digital cameras. My father got me one a couple of years ago, but I would like a new one, as this one doesn't get a big/good shot of some of the places i travel, it doesnt take a large photo, or the color is wrong..or just SOMETHING.. in my opinion, its just best for candid ones around the house. Can anyone give me some sort of help with finding one to fit my needs? Or suggest a good one? I'm in desperate need of some help!...lol
Am I Qualified to join the Army? I am 21 years old, I have a GED with a score of 610, of which in three subjects I scored in the 99 percential. I excell in english rather dominantly, but I am not mathmatical. On the ASVAB paracticed test, (40 questions) I scored and 80 on the first math section, 100 on the following two english sections, but only a twenty on the last math segment, what does that mean? I dont have a girlfreind, children, or any obligations, I love travel and adventure and would VERY much like to go overseas, I have a strong work ethic, I very rarely drink, dont do drugs, and my the only thing hindering me as far as criminal records is a minor consumption charge of which I was not arrested for, and only received court cost. I have never been seriously ill, in fact I very rarely get sick at all. I am not over weight and dont have any diseases or sytmptoms of that I am aware of. i would very much love to join the army (Im talking to recruiters) I have no problem being yelled at or taking orders.
Who can give the best adivce? Came home from overseas, miss the adrenaline rush, marriage falling apart;depressed need some excitement...should I return for a third tour overseas, write a book, save my marriage or find some adventure-minded folks like myself, grab our cameras and travel the world on the cheap?
I have an opportunity to relocate to America. I am in two minds about it. What should I do? After all, I barely know the man. I have met him on Yahoo Answers. We speak on IM and he is really sweet. He now says he loves me and wants to send my visa and flight tickets over to me in Australia. I said I have to meet him first before I can decide. I told him I am scared and he says people in the US and Los Angeles, where he is are cool. I have only started to come into my own and become more independent. I am scared of travelling alone as I have never been overseas before and do not really know him. I am also very close to my mum and help her out and she would miss me and be worried about me. On the other hand, it sounds like an adventure and a new life. He is also very wealthy and I love him (as much as I can to someone I have never met) I have until end of January to make my mind up. He wants me to have two kids and says I don't need to work. Just look after the kids and says I can send money to my family. I have a good life here and am just starting to make it.
International Vacation Ideas for a Family of 5 with 3 Teenagers? Every year my mom plans a horribly boring vacation to a theme park in the US. We've been to Disneyworld, Disneyland, Multiple Six-Flags, Cedar Point, Seaword, and the list goes on and on. My mom isn't exactly the must cultured person which is why she plans such generic family vacations. Our time there usually involves getting on some rides, eating at a Shoney's, and staying in a so-so hotel. I've recently suggested an international trip or even a cruise for our next vacation. She's afraid to be on a cruise because 'you'll get kidnapped'. She probably saw a 6 o'clock new story about the horrible 'dangers' of traveling on a cruise ship. My sisters are mature 12 and 15 year olds who'd appreciate a trip overseas. I'm curious with what locations would keep us very busy . My mom's afraid that we'll go overseas and there will be 'nothing to do except look at things'. Please help me turn our family vacation from a dull theme park visit to an international adventure.
Is this normal if he loves you? I have been with my bf for a year, but we have been good friends for 3yrs. I am going to live in melbourne with him over the summer (he comes from there and we go to uni together in nz) I mentioned tonight that after 3yrs of study, we should take a break (we are doing 5yrs) and go run away for a year to have some fun while we are young. I mentioned this and he said "yeah you should go" i explained that i ment i wanted to go on an adventure with him, but he said he doesnt want to do that. I then brought up the topic of overseas travel once we graduate and he again mentioned that he had always imagined going away with mates - not a gf. I am confused because he is usually very protective and jokes about the fact he is "never going to share me" but now i dont know where I stand we are best friends, so i though going on a holiday was just a normal thing, but he doesnt seem keen although he insists that a long distance relationship would work - i think hes saying that to spare -to spare my feelings. I dont know what to make of this, I asked him if he would regret not going travelling alone and he said yes, when i asked if he would regret leaving me behind he said no. I dont know how to handle his sudden change of character, and i dont know if i want a love like this - I have only ever had two things i want out of love - trust and being spontaneous. I dont know if he means it when he says he loves me now.
Is it too soon, too crazy to get married? I have been with my boyfriend 6 months although I know him as a co-worker for 7 years. We both been married, have children, his' are older and married. Mine are between 11 and 2 years. He accepted an overseas position w/ federal govt and he proposed to me last week. I haven't been able to answer. It's kind of strange for me because I like adventure, like to travel and learn about the world, however, I feel we've been together not enough time to accept marrying him. He feels positive everything will be fine, and tells me he will support me in any way as a husband and will help me with anything my children may need. I've applied for some positions in the same area he'll be working but still no answer -it takes time. He's been a loving man, very funny, has initiative with house chores, even cooks. I would say he can be the love of my life.... but I feel that I'm still young and should wait a bit to re marry also my older daughter is jealous. Please serious feedback, Thanks a lot.
moving to london!! heeelllp!! I'm in the early stages of planning a move to London which will hopefully happen after the new year but I'm not really sure where to start. So I have ALOT of questions. I've bumbered them so its easier for everyone haha. Ive got the obvious applications, Visa and Passport. I've acquired the right forms - first time passport and ancestry visa. 1) How soon should I lodge those? I know you have to apply for a passport before you can apply for the Visa so obviously I would do that first. 2) Do I need to have passport photos taken before I lodge the applications? 3) How do I go about finding a rental property? Is it even possible for me to rent in the UK? 4) Is it possible to find fully or partly furnished places? 5) Which are the bad areas on London? (Im 20 years old - Moving out of home, have lived with friends before but never alone). 6) How do I go about looking for a job? 7) How do I apply for a National Insurance Number? 8) How much money do you think I should save before I move to London? 9) Is London and expensive city to live in? 10) Will I need travel insurance if I'm going to live over there or is travel insurance only for holidays? 11) Should I get any sort of medical insurance before I go? Sorry, I know thats alot but its all so confusing. Incase theres anything Ive missed... 12) is there anything else you would like to add or you think I should know? Also, I should add. Ive mentioned before. Im 20 years old. From Australia. Currently living at home, taking time off my University Course (Nursing). Im basically wanting to go to London for a while as Im not sure where I want to go with my life and basically Im just looking at it as an adventure. I think Im at a time at my life where I need to go out and be independant. You should also know that Im not afraid of failing so dont be kind with your comments because I know moving overseas is going to be hard! Sorry for a long post. Thanks in advance! Ps. I just thought of something else! 13) What do I do with bank accounts? Can I keep my Australian accounts and open ones in London or do I need to transfer my current ones?

Overseas Job options? I am looking to travel overseas and just wanted to know what jobs are availible. I have a degree in management information systems, but I am considering other options as well. I've always held customer service related jobs in my past, but now I am old enough to take on more challenging positions that will allow adventure. It's my destiny to travel around the world, even though I just graduated, its troublesome for me to stay in one spot for a long time. I constantly need to be around something new, please give me some advice or job options that will allow me to travel. Thank you.

How can I overcome my Post Travel Depression? Five years ago left everything behind (good job, friends, basically my entire life to go travelling - the plan was for a year or two overseas but as it turns out I kept going and spent 4 years living all over the world, backpacking, working and living in hostels - I had the time of my life. Its tough to explain but really felt, well, connected to the world, everyday was an adventure. I spent months absolutely broke and had truly challenging times but I always felt good about it. I truly changed from a person who cared about money, and buying a house and getting married to someone who cares about experiencing all that life has to offer and just working to live not living to work. I've lost interest in buying a house or having a career - I just want to explorer and adventure. I'm now back home - been here for a year. At first I felt just a bit disconnected from the values and ideals of my friends, family and peers here. I thought it was just travel depression and would get better - that I would get used to it back here in Canada but unfortunately it has just gotten worse, alot worse. Worse to the point where everyday is a struggle just to want to get out of bed. I question daily why I am even alive at all (I would never commit suicide but I do feel as though I'm not living and don't really have a purpose in my life) I feel totally lost. It's sort of like while travelling everything was in colour but now its all in black and white. Any ideas on how to fight these feelings and reconnect. Please no religious answers. I'm only looking for realistic ones that might actually help me.
Just go with no plan ? Have you ever just went out and decided to travel overseas to a country like germany and see where lives adventures would take ya expecally if you have nothing holding you back like kids. How did it work out?
