Group Travel in the UK?

I want to have my 18th birthday party somewhere like Edinburgh, or Blackpool, and I live in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Is there any way myself and a group of my friends could travel cheaply together? Any accommodation suggestions, for groups, or advice on how to look would be appreciated, too.

1. try liverpool top night out and you could catch a train ! i've been to newcastle a few times n friends from newcastle have come to liverpool and really enjoyed it. Have a good'en !!

If you're looking for a great place to stay in Edinburth.. try Castle Rock Hostel, it's cheap, yet its a beautiful hostel, really clean and conveniantly located (right across from the Edinburgh Castle, lots of pubs and shops around), the staff is young, super friendly, and they always have great recommendations!!!

3. You can get group discounts on the train and if you buy advance purchase fares as well, it will be very cheap. Decide where you want to go and on which date; then book the train tickets as far ahead as possible at your local station.
