Travel group in Egypt?

I plan to travel to Egypt this fall- can anyone recommend a tour group to travel Egypt with? Not knowing the language, I am a bit fearful to travel there on my own. Is there a best month to go for the weather or the sites? I am really open to go whenever. Thanks! Laura
Does anyone have specific tour groups that they have used and liked? There are so many options on google I was looking for feedback. Thanks!

1. hey i am in canada but am egyptian. there are usually tour groups that tour u around egypt. i know my church has something like that. the wheather at the moment isnt the BEST tie cause at night it can get pretty cold... summer is the best time. i would recommend you dont go on your own since you dont know the language.. but it is fun... just a little dirty... and hot

2. Yes,
It will be wiser if you join a tour group. You still have time till fall comes. The weather at that time will be better. So statr googling for best packages from your home city, weather and where to go in egypt.
enjoy.

3. The best thing you can do is to buy a tour from your country. They will relay the srevice to a tourist agency in Egypt that they trust. This works well since they will choose well according to their experience.
The weather in Egypt is nice starting October till May.
The musts are:
- In Cairo, the Egyptian museum, the citadel, old Cairo, the Giza pyramids, Skkara and Memphis.
- In the south, a Nile cruise betwen Luxor and Aswan. visiting all temples and tombs in both cities.
- If you have more time then Alexandria for a day or 2.
- If you have more time then Sharm el Sheikh which is on the Red sea for 3-4 days.

4. Laura:
One of the best for Western travelers is MISR travel...the oldest and largest of the Egyptian travel organizations. They have offices in most Western capitals, and in every major city in Egypt.
Their representative in Egypt will meet you at the airport, assist you with your visa (which can be obtained AT the airport on your arrival), assist you thru customs and with baggage pick up, and transfer you to your hotel in a comfortable air-conditioned car. They will also arrange any tours within Egypt, any domestic flights, and even suggest, and arrange, the BEST Nile Cruise (a delightful experience that should NOT be missed)...for either 3, 6 or 7 nights...depending on the length of your stay. (Our favorites have always been the Sonesta Nile Cruises..their 'Sun Goddess' or "Moon Goddess"...and if you want ultimate luxury, the brand new "Sonesta St. George"!!!
MISR also uses the newest Oberoi Cruise boats, and the highly recommended 'Royal Lotus'.

In New York, their offices are located at:
630 Fifth Avenue
Suite 1460
New York, N.Y. 10011
Tel: (212) 332 2600

In the United Kingdom:
Langham House
Rooms 201/204 (2nd floor)
308 Regent Street
London W. 1R 5AL
Tel: 44(171)255 1087

They have been my favorite for the past 27 years. NEVER disappointing, always on time, and always ready to handly any problem that might arise.

Egypt is one of the safest countries in the world, and the only problem you might encounter is unwanted attention from young Egyptian men...but they mean no harm, and will not persist if they are not encouraged. One 'trick' that many single women use, in traveling in Egypt is to wear a wedding ring (does not have to be gold, just so long as it looks authentic. LOL). That immediatley sets you apart as 'unavailable' and to even approach you is TABOO!!

I hope you DO decide to go to Egypt and hope you end up loving it as much as I. I have taken hundreds of people, including many family members to Egypt, and have NEVER had one complaint. Many return to Egypt again and again.

Let me know if you need any more specific information.

Weather wise, the very best times are late April (after the khamseen winds are over), or mid to late September when, you can still get low season prices, but the weather is NOT oppressivly hot.

Language is NOT a problem in any of the major cities, since most Egyptians (especially the young) speak a number of foreign languages...with English now replacing French as Egypts second language.

5. it peter to buy a tour from your country there is too many companies arrange tours to Egypt, you can also search the web,the best time to visit Egypt February to April and October to December.

6. I have used EF College Break (its an 18-26 thing) to go to Europe, not Egypt but I really liked my tour. Maybe you should take a look at them. I still have their discount code too, its hesseln1188 and it gets you $50 if you want to use them. Sorry, I myself have not done a tour of Egypt though I would like to one day. I know that I didn't have much advise, but may I suggest, that if you do not find your answer here, try trip adviser? Just a thought. Have fun!
