Is there such thing as a travel group?

I love to travel, but don't have many friends that will just pick up and take a trip with me. What is a good way to find more people that have the same interest? Are there groups that promote travel as a hobby? I may just be searching wrong...Help! :)

6. Yes, there are travel groups! There are even all female travel groups. Just go to google and type in "Womens Adventure Tours". There are all kinds of travel groups out there. Your local travel agency should have some information. Also, many universities have traveling trips. I went to Yellowstone as a group for Anthropology. The credit was optional, so if you didnt pay for course credit the one week trip was only $100! Our local university also goes to Belize and New Zealand every year. It would be a great opportunity to meet people, have fun, go with someone that has been there, and to learn a bit while there. (Don't worry, these trips are usually filled with more fun that learning because the students are expected to observe, take notes and then do the work for the class when they get home!)

7. yes, call your chamber of commerence
