do you like the group travel or travel by yourself?

1. group travel it is much more enjoyable because then you have people to share your memories with later on

2. I prefer travelling by myself. It's always nice to visit other places and meet new people. I've met several people whilst staying at backpackers and loved listening to their travel stories and experiences.

It's pretty alright travelling in a group with friends, but you'd have to be able to get along pretty well. It's hard traveling with say 4 other people and end up arguing or having conflicting ideas of what to do, where to go. Everyone's taste or wants can sometimes be conflicting.

Travelling in a tour group is an absolute no-no for me. Way too rush and sometimes you don't get enough time in certain places you'd like to go to.

3. At first you need to travel with group then if you already know the place you are to go to then you may go alone.

4. Well, I travel with my husband, and we like to go it alone. We're kind of selfish that way, we want to go "our own way" opposed to going with the majority decision of a group or a planned itinerary. We did the group thing just once and found it wasn't for us. But I love to travel, so if I had no one to go with I would certainly go the group route.

5. Definitely alone. Everything is easier, from getting through the airports to getting upgrades or changing plans last minute. Travelling with others is like herding cats.

6. This is a very individual question. For me I prefer travel by myself, except in very specific situations - see below. Here's why.

Individual travel allows for a lot of advantages over group travel. For one thing you can tailor your trip very much for your own interests. As a second thing, you are not tied to a group schedule. You never get left waiting for someone, or miss something you really wanted to see because the group needed to leave. You get a chance to interact with the locals if you travel on your own - and visit places that are not necessarily geared to tourists. Food is big - group tours have group meals, which are not always the most wonderful, indeed they can be very basic, and geared to your tastes. You have a lot more flexibility with independent travel, to change your mind and do whatever you feel like. And I personally love planning travel.

Group travel has some advantages, too. Someone else does the planning for you, so if you can't plan or you don't want to plan, that is a great advantage. If you like fancy hotels and the like, you can get some bargains out of group travel (if you're willing to do low end, local hotels, these advantages often become much less or disappear.). Group travel is often pre-paid, so you have better control of what it might cost. Group travel generally provides interpreters, so if you don't know a language, that kind of support comes with the trip. There are some areas where it is simply impossible to travel on your own, or very difficult, especialy for some groups of people (think women in the middle east) and group travel can arrange trips that might be impossible. And lastly, but most importantly, if you are older, if you are handicapped or have any kind of limiited mobility, a group trip can provide you an opportunity to travel with your needs supported.

Group travel has a distinct advantage if you are traveling with a group of people you know. It can be impossible to get independent travel with a large group - to get hotels and in restaurants and the like. If you want to travel with a group that is already formed, a church group or the like, then this is the way to go! Younger groups do better in independent travel due to the Youth Hostel system, so school groups can often plan their own trips.

So it depends on you, your preferences and needs. There is no right answer to this.

7. i think the groups much better because if u got lost you still have an older person to help u

8. If there is anything I hate the most, it is traveling with a group. I am very spontaneous when I'm traveling and I don't like having to stick to a set schedule or itinerary.

9. I personally prefer going solo, but many people don't. I'm kind of solitary by nature, and after spending vacation after vacation getting drug around on the rest of my family's schedule, it's an absolute joy to call the shots myself. It's much easier to change your schedule or plans when it's just you.

That said, if I was going somewhere I was completely unfamiliar with-- didn't know the area, didn't speak the language at all-- I would try to join a tour group for at least part of the time, just to get a better idea of what's around and how things work locally. That's just a smart thing to do.

But if I know the area & think I can get around okay by myself, I definetly prefer travelling solo.
