1. Yosimite National Park in California, or the Great Smoky Mountains in Tennessee.

2. maybe try West Virginia, eastern Tennessee, western North Carolina area. Lots of outdoor activites to do, plus white water rafting on the Gauly river, probably the best rafting in the US, plus in western NC in Asheville you have a cool city to visit with the US's largest home, the Biltmore Estate. If you like the Winchester Mansion, this one is much larger and fully decorated.

3. Okay since you like crazy things why not go scuba diving in an old mine? Really cool, you can get certified there. People from all over the world go to the Bonne Terre Mine in Bonne Terre MO. It has one of the largest underground lakes in the world, and some pretty amazing things. You get to scuba around old mining stuff that was taken over by the natural spring. There are tons of sites to see down there! The mine tour it's self is also very interesting. West End Diving is the company that runs the diving tours and they have all kinds available. You will not be disappointed. Once you do that you can always go down to Onodaga Cave for some cave scuba. AMAZING!!!! The cave is just full of natural beauty and scuba here is like no other place. Again people come from all over the world to scuba dive here. There are tons of things to see under the water!

Since you like stuff like the Winchester House might I suggest driving Route 66. There is just a ton of odd things to see and do along the route, and yes there is still a ton of drivable parts. It does take a little research and planning but it is an AWESOME trip! We are into the "odd" roadside attractions and "weird" type of stuff and well 66 is just full of it! Sorry you have to drive by the Grand Canyon but you don't have to stop go to the meteor crater instead! You can sleep in a Wigwam, see ghost towns, eat at some crazy places and more. This is one of our favorite trips to go on and it is always changing!

Has a lot of wacky things on it, I have the book Eccentric America and I recommend it to everyone! Very wonderful and has some great places in it, that I probably never would have found!

If you want to do wreck diving you need to look into the FL Keys they have all kinds of scuba tours for every budget. Great place to go, beautiful things to see. Yes they do have some pretty wacky stuff in the Keys!
