USA Christmas vacation destination ideas?

I'd like some place warm and/or where everything doesn't shut down. Somewhere with a pulse, for an adults only trip. Any ideas? South Beach?
Great ideas so far. I love HI, but too expensive for Christmas. Budget is about 4K and I'm on the east coast.

2. i usually go to Yuma AZ. i can catch a tour bus to MX for the day (Buffalo Tour Bus), visit Old Town Yuma, or just relax by the Colorado river. and its not expensive. Lots of swap-meets and food.

3. If your going West Coast do San Diego unless your hardcore and want massive crowds then definatly LA. East Coast well Miami is always kickin some people are able to find what you want in New York but I woudln't dare touch that during the holiday season.

4. Hawaii, is a beutiful state. Lots of attrations. Lava rock, volcanos, water falls, and beaches. I want to go there some day.

5. Las Vegas is open during Christmas. The only downfall is that there aren't many shows Christmas weekend, but you can't beat the weather. The strip was actually pretty busy on Christmas weekend when I was there a couple of years ago.
