Where is the best place to go vacation in USA?

I want to go on alow budget road trip this summer and i need some suggestions. My husband and i love sight seeing and fun things to do. Thanks in advance : )

1. Head down to florida. It's really a great road trip. I've driven there over 100 times since I was little. I don't know where you live but I always go through Kentucky, TN, Georgia. Florida there is sooo much to do. Go to Disney World for a day or two. It won't cost a whole lot just to go to the parks and it is very enjoyable for kids and adults. If not visit the Kennedy Space Center thats very interesting. Lots to see and do. Nashville and Atlanta are great towns and if you are an Elvis fan stop in Memphis. It is expensive to tour his house thought. If not New Orleans would be very interesting to see. I went there right after Katrina and you wouldn't believe what you will see. You will be in shock but it was very rewarding to me to go. Plus there are some fun little towns and some good food! Hope you have fun where ever you go!

2. I'll have to agree with barbie up above me. Florida offers quite a bit from those on a shoestring budget to those with a lot. Cocoa Beach is cool if you want the east coast and cheerbarbie mentions the space center. On the gulf side I would say Ft. Meyers but it's very touristy, Cape COral is next door and you would have to drive onto Sanibel Island for a day as well. Depending on your home state, other than Florida, I'd say Texas has the biggest variety and San Antonio on the Riverwalk is very family oriented.
