1. i was at the airport a few days ago and they had a notice at the security checkpoint saying that indonesia was not practicing sufficient security measures, so not to travel there.

It`s a very beautyful country with a lot to see - but I think you should have some local friends to show you around. The locals are also very very nice and helpful, such warm and lovely people I have never met (exept for the soldiers - watch out!).

5. Hmm, what about Thailand? Well maybe not anymore.. Maybe the Phillipines. I live on a military base in Japan and whenever the guys leave for Thailand or the Phillipines, or even South Korea a lot of wives get pissed because of all the prostitution that goes on in those countries and all the men in the military that go for it. Is that what kind of adventure you were looking for?

Why is the world unsafe? Terrorism. yunussh alludes to the fact that the United States has made the world unsafe as he has in some of his other answers. I'm sorry, yunussh, but you don't see American strapping on suicide belts and blowing people up. THAT is why it is unsafe. And don't give me the old song and dance that it is American policy that drives people to do that. People do that because they are tired of living in the 13th century, and America is the most convenient excuse.

The US is in Asia (non-mideast areas). The US is in Europe. The US is in Africa. The US is in Australia. The US is in South America. Why is it that the middle east is the most dangerous place on earth? It ain't the Americans, my friend. It is a backward religion that endorses treating people like second-class citizens combined with hundreds of years of repression.
