Comment: Not one person here has ever experienced a peaceful exsistence; there has been a "crisis" as in Vietnam, an "offensive", an intervention, etc. but all are wars. Americans are victumized by war, even when it is not on our soil and the good Quakers seem to get that.

Comment: I think lots of the boiggers here missed the point that the Quakers are in favor of non-violent, non-angry communication.
The Quakers are WONDERFUL people. I used to live a few block from the Greene St. Meeting House mentioned in this article (I think it actually is in the Mt. Airy section of Philadelphia, not in Germantown as described by Newsweek).
But anyway, they don't talk about politics. They talk about peace.
You gotta get you some.

Comment: I've read a lot of stupid comments on this article, johnboy21 takes the cake! How can you even think Obama is "anti-america"? Because of his pastor? Religious figures like Wright are mentally ill! Don't judge the disabled so swiftly! I say that because anyone who truely believes there is some magical place called heaven or some ultra-torturious place called hell is mentally disabled. People are Democrat or Replublican because of the core values each party bring to the table. I can't understand how someone could think that because their "favorite" democrat didn't win the Replublican candidate would be a better fit!!! HELLO, do you really think John McCain would give a crap about what the Democrats want and need? NO. SO essentailly you're either a Hillacrat or someone that whines win they loss.
For the record my candidate (Joe Biden) is out of the race. But just because the person with the most experience and honesty didn't make it this far hasn't caused me to run out and switch my party!!!!

Comment: Yay! Another liberal puff piece! Whooppee!
Of course, McCain is even with both Dems in the polls, but who cares about who his supporters are? I mean who cares about anybody who doesn't support liberals, right?

Comment: Right.

Comment: Yeah, the new liberal mantra has become "Us good. Them bad." Actually it is usually "US GOOD!!!! THEM BAD!!!"
