bali travel need last minute adivce from expert!!?

am and my partner are going to bali for just 8 days, and booked hotel in jimbaren(one night), kuta (two nights) nusa du a (four nights), we wanna see ubud, lovina, and hopefully some experienced advice from you. just wonder how long is the travel time (bus/taxi) from kuta to jimbaren, from kuta to ubud, to lovina, to nusa dua? we are trying to fit a good time scheme before head off..your advices are highly valuable to us, so thank you!

jimbaran to kuta is short-15/20 mins ish. traffic can be mad
best company i used was PERAMA , they are located about 500 metres up from bemo corner on jalan legian in kuta ( left hand side ,anyone will atke you for the right money . Up to ubud can take about 2 hrs . nusa dua is only about 30-50 mins away from kuta,
ubud to lovina, is about 4 hrs- maybe 5, I was in lovina and thought it was disgusting. Maybe you are going for the dolphines ?? hmmm good luck

2. Definitely not by bus, best if you arrange a transportation arrangement with the hotel, it's cheaper, faster and cleaner than a taxi.
Kuta-Jimbaran is approximately 15 minutes
Kuta-Ubud is approximately 1.5 hours
Kuta-Nusa Dua is approximately 20 minutes.

Sorry, I've never been to Lovina, but I'd think Ubud is your farthest destination from Kuta.

first of all....bali is not big...so, its very convinient to travel from one area to another.
I recommend you to enjoy your night in jimbaran and have a very good seafood there. Save the sunbathing in nusa dua if you like tranquil, private and calm beach.
Kuta to nusa dua it takes about 15-20 min by car. Take taxi becos theres no bus (not that I know).
In kuta, you can enjoy shoppings, watersport (which I prefer to do it in Benoa tho).
Lovina its rather far. If you wanna se dolphin and enjoy your day, you have to depart from Kuta around 4 or 5 in the morning, to get the best timing to see the dolphin.
From Kuta/Nusa Dua to Ubud will take around 30-40 min....for this trip I recomend you to rent a car with driver. Its very cheap and you can ask your concierge for the rental company. Why I recommend rent a car, bcos along the way you can stop by in many many art shops and gallery...you will enjoy it.

for your journey..you need rent car with driver or tour packages only...it will be more cheap..for rent car is start from USD 30/day (include petrol &driver)
if you want to go to lovina..you need to stay 1night...i will be more relax...many place you can go around lovina...
lovina has beautiful beach with sweet dolphin...

5. It doesn't take too long to get to any of these places. You can get to Lovina (the top of Bali) in a couple of hours, it's a hairy drive through the mountains on a winding road, but worth the trip for just the scenery on the way. Lovina is quiet but the black sand is something to see. Ubud isn't far either and kind of half way to Lovina, the Ubud Inn is a lovely place to stay and is close to the Monkey Forest, there are lots of great places to eat and the big market at the top of the hill has a lot of great stuff to buy. My friend and I travel to Bali very often and have been to all the places you want to see. There are lots of things to see on the way if you go to Lovina but you haven't got a lot of time left if you plan on doing it in one day.
You can hire yourselves a driver who will take you to all the places you want to go to, all you have to do is agree on a price, don't forget to bargain. I think from Kuta to Lovina we paid 250,000 rupiah give or take, I'm not 100% sure though. Anyway make sure you know what type of vehicle you are going to be travelling in (air con, seat belts, etc) and have a great time. Just make sure you give yourselves some time to relax as well, just so you can take everything in. Have a fantastic holiday! You will love it as we do!

Jimbaran and Kuta is very close , and better don't change the Hotel , you can stay 3 night in Jimbaran or Kuta,
The beach in Jimbaran more nice and more clean than Kuta, Kuta more crowded.
Dream land beach in Jimbaran is wonderfull , you can surfing and snorkling and nice coral.
From Kuta to Jimbaran only 10 minutes , you can go by Taxi or from the Hotel Transportation.
In the night in Jimbaran you can find so many nice and beautifull the barbeque cafe on the beach - its very romantic cafe.

Kuta to Nusadua - 20 minutes
Nusadua, good beach also with a big wave, so many water activity in Nusa dua, jetsky, parasailing, banana boat, and other.

Kuta to Ubud - one hour
You can find - all about art in Ubud, painting, crafing, dancing and some of popular art galery like Antonio Blanco
Kecak and Baring dancing - very nice place and beautifull hill
If you stay at Hotel Kupu kupu Barong or Four season , its a beautifull view and wonderfull
You can go for river rafting also in Ubud.

Kuta to Lovina - 3 hours.
Not good beach , the beach with black sand and very hot.
But you can go with boat to the midle of sea and you can see the So many DOLPHIN dancing beside of you boat.
Nice for Dolphin attraction.

Suggestion for transportation:
If you want go for all the day everywhere better rent a car , you can drive by your self its only US$ 25 / day
If include driver & fuel only US$ 35/days

If only a not far place every go - better by Taxi
