contiki tour ... single female, 18 ...?

i have thought over and over on whether i would rather go to europe and do the "back-packing experience" by myself (completly my choice about going alone) ... or doing a contiki tour for at least 30 days.. perhaps some of you that have gone with contiki can help with some questions i have.

-have any of you gone on the Winter Wanderer tour? It really is the only one that has almost all the places i want to go in Europe. I am from Canada(bc) so the winter weather wouldnt be too unusual for me. Would you think that there would be better weather in either Oct/Nov or Feb/Mar?

-how big are the groups for a Contiki Tour?

-Do many single ppl go? or is it more like groups of friends?
