Would you travel to a foreign country to meet your potential soul mate ?

To make deciding easier let's say you have already spent over 1,000 hours chatting on-line with the person and you know how the person looks.
Also let's say the country is the Philippines (12,000 to 15,000 miles away )

1. I did and I have :D LOL I traveled to Aussie once :) And then I traveled to Canada once.. 1st try wasn't a success but a great friendship that we have maintained for about 8 yrs now and Mr. Canada is movin here this summer :)

4. that depends what country you are talking about. have him come here first. with all that is going on today i wouldn't do it. if he cares, hell come here.

Only if one of the people were sure that they were willing to relocate.I have my far away chat friends also.I guess if i need to take a vacation i would consider taking a vacation to meet the person.But i don't think i would want to invest too many emotions into it .On line friends are often only showing each other a portion of who they are so I could never make a solid decision by just the phone calls and chats online.I have a friend who married one.They talked on line for a year or so and she moved in with him after .They were married 2 weeks after and divorced within the year.Good luck.

7. DEPENDS, IS HE PAYING FOR TEH TICKET? IF HE IS OFF I GO! DEPENDING ON WHAT COMMITMENTS I HAVE HERE. I HAVE TRAVELED TO ANOTHER STATE. BUT YOU NEED TO HAVE THEM GO TO UR COUNTRY 1ST!

8. It would depend on how well I think I know the person. I would have to be sure that I knew enough about the person and knew who they really were before I travelled to another country.
