Need help in making my travel plan..?

Hi,
I need to travel from Boston to Delhi/Mumbai and come back. I am not able to finalize my travel dates, I think, I can make my departure range from 20th may to 20th june, and coming back after around 20 days of stay. I have not booked my ticket so far. Could sbdy please help out in suggesting, where could I get cheapest fare, and also is some kinda student discount available on fares.
Thanks

1. Have you even start checking with Air India????
But if you want low fare (not cheap) at this time , check all the websites, it will give you some ideas.
More you wait, higher the price will be.

2. Kind of difficult to find the cheapest fare by now, you should had started awhile back, remember the dates you are looking to travel is prime summer time, the cheapest fare are far gone, if you like to check for a student discount, you should check with the student association of your school, they may be the only ones that would be offered a discount for the time period you plan to travel.

3. As others said, it's an expensive time to travel. The best deal I could find for you was with Alitalia via Milan and the ticket costs around 1250 USD.

4. For Student discounts, with ISIC, you need to talk to a travel agent.

i.e. travelcuts, marcopolo, etc.

Usually with the student card what you get is longer p[eriods of stay and/or stop-overs. Not better prices per se.

5. Here are the major student ticket consolidators in the USA:

You do not need to book these via another travel agency--you can book direct from the agencies I listed for you. The first two require you have an ISIC card. Your university might already provide this for you--check with the international students office and student benefits. Otherwise, they're about $22, and they afford you access to airfares that might be hundreds cheaper than anything else.

Orbitz shows a ticket for $1080 using May 20 \ June 11 on BA to London, then Virgin on London to Delhi. It says only 1 ticket left at this price. http://www.orbitz.com This is the cheapest I see by nearly $200, if the student agencies can not offer you something better.
