any ideas how a single mom with 8 yearold could travel?I have very little support system also...?

Just need ideas how me and my son could safely travel am a single mom on low income.
Imean ways to travel and safely not to keep him busy.
No you guys are taking it the wrong way i mean ways to travel and have fun with 8 year old accomdations that have child care , places that are child friendly.

1. Bring lots of color and activity books. Blank paper so he can draw. Does he have a gameboy? You could play the license plate game by looking at license plates and finding an A then a B then a C ect ect. Good luck!!

2. Keep them occupied, bring books or even bring a friend of your child along with you.

3. The safest, second cheapest would be to drive...cheapest is greyhound but not very safe.

4. I think the best thing to do for you would be to contact some travel agencies, online or in your area. Ask them what types of things are available. Are there bus tours that are offered, sometimes they go to concerts and stuff like that. I would say you would be paying aroun $50 per person and it gives you a full day of activities. But some local travel agencies will be able to tell you what is available for your area. They can also what discounts are available for you. I think that little weekend trips are great, just going someplace in your area to have a great time. Outside of this it will really depend on how much you are wanting to spend and how far you are willing to go, etc. The one thing is that you will have to pay for your son to go at an adult rate since the rooms are based on double adult occupancy.
