Best Alaska Cruise with Kids?
HI: Anyone have any advice for the most child-friendly cruise to Alaska? My children are 2, 8 and 11.
Thank you!

1. Im a travel agent and I suggest carnival with kids; There one of the cheapest and family oriented ships.
I can get you a great price on carnival if you contact me
2. It depends on what you want with your cruise. If you go Norweigan (excuse any bad spelling), it will be 95% senior citizens, but the ships are smaller. There is Royal Caribbean which has some large ships that are pretty family oriented. Last time I was home (Ketchikan, Alaska), the crew and passengers were least impressed by Princess, but they are pretty family oriented as well. The MOST family oriented is Carnival though. The bad thing is they have the largest ships, so you miss out on a lot of the one on one treatment you'd receive on a smaller ship. Not sure if you were aware of it though, but there are small ships that also cruise the inside passage. There's the Northern Star which is out of Seattle. It also cruises the Columbia River during the winter months. There are also some other small ships that do cruises as well, I just don't have any names off the top of my head. While in port in Ketchikan though, the things I recommend doing is the Misty Fjord tour (AMAZING!), Creek Street, the Heritage Center and Saxman. There is no way to do all of those, but all worthwhile. Cheapest months to go is May and Sept. That is the beginning and end of the cruise season. Enjoy!!!
3. Hands down, Lindblad Expeditions. Go to www.expeditions.com, then to the pull-down menu to "family expeditions." It's an amazing company and you'll not only see some of the most gorgeous sights on earth, you and your kids will actually learn so much and be active doing it.
