Cruises????
My mom and I are trying to debate on going to the Mexican Riveria for our next cruise in March...we already went to the Caribbean last year....anyone been to the Mexican Riveria? Was it nice?

1. Yes it was nice. You will find a lot of similarities between the two cruises such as the weather, but it is always exciting to go to someplace new. I have been on Princess cruise lines to both east and western caribbean and the mexican Riveria. How about the Panama Canal. Would that be too long or pricy for you. You see, then you would see Mexico, the canal, and the caribbean all on one cruise. It's just a thought.
2. Yes, did a Mexican cruise a couple years ago on an NCL ship out of Long Beach. Cruise was nice but we missed one port stop because of bad weather at one of the ports. My favorite was Cabo. Acapulco was good too, especially the cliff divers. I don't like the beaches as much on the Pacific side as on the Caribbean side. Much prettier and more inviting beaches on the Caribbean side of Mexico. Pacific side has that regular brown sand, not as inviting.
I would go again and try to get to some different ports as the itineraries are not all the same and I would do a cruise line other than NCL. I think the other lines like RC and Princess have nicer ships.
3. The Riveria is very nice, as are most places cruise ships go to. Let's face it, they're not taking anyone to someplace they think stinks!
You need to simply decide what you want to do and go for it!!!
Here's a heads up, if you want to save alot of money on your cruise, go on a GROUP cruise. Not part of a GROUP??? no problem, I found a website with literally hundreds of group cruises you can join without actually having to be part of the "group". How amazing is that?
Check out www.getset2cruise.com and click on groups, and there's a list.
Happy sailing!!!
