Gay cruises... yes or no ?

LOL... When I typed that... Yahoo suggested a previous question about Tom Cruise. Isn't THAT appropriate?

Anyway that's not the question.

I'm just wondering if Gay and Lesbian cruises are really any fun ? I've been on several cruises but never an exclusively gay one. I'm not sure if the gay aspect would be exciting or annoying.

I mean I wouldn't be looking to hook up sexually and I only go to gay bars occasionally. I would probably go with my BF or other friends. I'm just not sure what, if anything gay cruise lines have to offer that I might want.

Any thoughts or experiences ?

1. I watched this movie about Rosie's gay cruise, and it seemed awesome. They did a few short interviews, and everyone said they loved having the freedom to kiss their partners in line, by the pool, in the theater, wherever whenever.

The second I have the time and money, I'm taking my girlfriend. You might as well try it out, right? If nothing else, you'll have some vacation time.

2. I don't know but I've been on straight cruises and they were fun. So I figured it would be just about the same.

3. I'll tell you what it is. It's a relief. It's VERY nice to be around others of the same mind, without having to worry about passing or anything else. It's VERY nice. Go! You'll love it.

4. The gay cruise industry advertises the fact that they give gay men free lube and condoms on your pillow.

That's the only difference.

I understand that RSVP cruises are very good and well organized. I've not been on a cruise, but am going on a Carnival Cruise, Jan '08 from Galveston, Tx to the "Yucatan" area. It will be a mixed group and the 5 day schedule will be full.

It is the off-season then and prices are very good.

6. the only difference is that the outlandish female clothing isnt on 60 year old woman tourists, its on 60 year old gay men instead.

7. Gay cruises are prejudice, it not like straighs have straight crusies if we did by God gays would be up in arms about that saying how wrong it is that we are discriminating against gays.

8. It wears thin after a couple of days.
